Beretta said on October 29 that three of its 500th-anniversary firearms are at U.S. dealers now and a fourth, the 694 shotgun, arrives in late November, in a release carried by The Outdoor Wire. The release gives no prices. Beretta USA’s product pages do. The BRX1 rifle and the A400 shotgun each start at $2,799, and the 687 Silver Pigeon lists at $4,499.
The collection marks 500 years since Beretta’s founding in 1526. Each gun is an existing model with anniversary engraving, a dedicated serial number and a 500 Years mark.
The BRX1 500 Years is Beretta’s straight-pull hunting rifle with a wood stock and forend, a hand-polished receiver engraved with wild boar on one side and deer on the other, and a high-visibility orange five-round magazine. The U.S. page lists a 22-inch barrel at $2,799. Beretta’s international product page puts the edition at 1,526 rifles worldwide, while Beretta USA’s collection page says 500. The two pages disagree.
The A400 500 Years, a gas-operated semi-automatic, was the first of the anniversary editions. Its nickel-finished receiver carries game scenes on both sides with ink and gold inlays. The U.S. page lists a 28-inch barrel at $2,799.
The 687 Silver Pigeon 500 Years Field, an over-and-under built on Beretta’s 680 action, has Grade 3 walnut, hand-polished side plates and scroll engraving with gold accents. Beretta USA puts the run at 1,526 shotguns, with a 28-inch barrel, at $4,499.
The 694 is the competition over-and-under Beretta developed with its shooting team for clay target shooters. Beretta’s international page lists Sporting and Trap versions, Steelium Pro barrels and an edition of 1,100 guns worldwide. No U.S. page or price was up on October 29.
Beretta’s U.S. pages list barrel lengths but no gauges or calibers. The three available editions are sold through authorized Beretta dealers, and availability varies by dealer. The 694 is expected in late November.
