Oregon Unit 34 covers 897,680 acres and lies 19 miles south-west of Bend and 33 miles south-west of Redmond. 76% of it is public land, mostly national forest (70%) and BLM (5%). In 2025, 1,078 people hunted elk here and took 155, a 14% success rate (sum of published weapon rows). Its most applied-for hunt, 234X, put up 1,320 tags (all residencies) in the 2026 draw for 23 nonresident first-choice applicants, 3 of whom drew.
