Oregon Unit 57 covers 566,100 acres and lies 42 miles north-east of La Grande and 67 miles east of Pendleton. 22% of it is public land, mostly national forest (19%) and BLM (2%). In 2025, 1,552 people hunted deer here and took 709, a 46% success rate (sum of published hunt rows). Its most applied-for hunt, 157, put up 1,650 tags (all residencies) in the 2025 draw for 72 nonresident first-choice applicants, 9 of whom drew.
