New Mexico GMU 34 covers 1,085,460 acres and lies 17 miles east of Alamogordo and 27 miles south-east of Tularosa. 73% of it is public land, mostly national forest (41%) and BLM (20%). In 2025, 2,218 people hunted deer here and took 470 — 21% of them killed something. The 2026 draw put up 39 tags here for 151 first-choice applicants.
