Nevada Unit 061 covers 212,873 acres and lies 70 miles north-west of Wells and 80 miles north of Carlin. 80% of it is public land, mostly national forest (76%) and BLM (3%). A further 14% is tribal land rather than public land. In 2025, 373 people hunted elk here and took 114 — 31% of them killed something.
