Colorado GMU 2 covers 763,996 acres and lies 53 miles west of Craig and 91 miles west of Steamboat Springs. 93% of it is public land, mostly BLM (78%) and national park (8%). In 2024, 168 people hunted elk here and took 107 — 64% of them killed something. The 2026 draw put up 32 tags here for 38 first-choice applicants.
