5.7x28mm pistols give high capacity and very light recoil from a small, fast bottlenecked round, though ammo costs more than 9mm. Most are full-size service-style guns, so compare trigger, optic readiness and magazine cost, which differ widely between models such as the FN Five-seveN and the Ruger-57. The large-format guns here are closer to carbines in size and are for the range, not carry.
