Oregon Unit 26 covers 528,717 acres and lies 32 miles south-west of Roseburg and 46 miles south-east of Coos Bay. 48% of it is public land, mostly BLM (36%) and national forest (10%). In 2025, 461 people hunted elk here and took 130, a 28% success rate (sum of published weapon rows). Its most applied-for hunt, 226Y, put up 90 tags (all residencies) in the 2026 draw for 74 nonresident first-choice applicants, 3 of whom drew, and the last tag went to someone with 11 points.
