Montana Hunting District 586 covers 468,965 acres and lies 22 miles south-west of Harlowton and 35 miles north-west of Big Timber. 25% of it is public land, mostly national forest (16%) and state trust land (9%). In 2025, hunters took 322 pronghorn here; hunter counts not published. Its most applied-for hunt, 586-20, put up 55 tags (all residencies) in the 2026 draw for 89 nonresident first-choice applicants, 55 of whom drew.
