Colorado GMU 741 covers 309,501 acres and lies 15 miles south-west of Durango and 30 miles south-east of Cortez. 10% of it is public land, mostly state land (4%) and Bureau of Reclamation (4%). A further 38% is tribal land rather than public land. In 2024, 365 people hunted deer here and took 196, a 54% success rate.
