About This Suppressor
The YHM Victra-12 is a modular shotgun suppressor for 12-gauge hosts. It has an MSRP of $979.95. Assembly rods take it from its full 12.4 inches down to 10-inch, 8-inch and 6-inch builds, in 7075 aluminium and 17-4 PH stainless steel.
It mounts on the host shotgun's existing choke threads with a YHM Victra mount, sold separately to match the gun. Two 12-inch assembly rods, an Improved Cylinder choke tube and a multi-use wrench come in the box, so the full-length build is ready once the mount is on. The shorter builds need additional rod kits, which are a separate buy.
If you're cross-shopping, the SilencerCo Salvo 12 reaches 12.5 inches and 34.4 ounces with an MSRP of $1,169, so it is far heavier at a similar length. The Silencer Central Banish SGN 12 Ti is 8.55 inches and 17.6 ounces of titanium with an MSRP of $1,218, and it is not modular. The Victra-12 is the cheapest of the three on this list and the one of the three that Yankee Hill Machine rates for full-auto fire.
Strengths & Limitations
Pros
- Mounts on the choke threads, so the barrel needs no threading.
- Four build lengths from one can, with the rods doing the work.
- An Improved Cylinder choke tube is included, so the host keeps a working choke.
Cons
- Victra mounts are sold separately and are host-specific, so budget for one.
- The box carries the full-length rods alone, so each shorter build is another purchase.
- At 24 ounces it is heavier than the titanium Banish SGN 12 Ti.
