Kansas Hunting Laws
Kansas sets no minimum caliber for big-game rifles or handguns during firearm season — any non-fully-automatic centerfire cartridge is legal for deer, as long as it fires an expanding-type bullet. Shotguns are limited to slugs, and muzzleloading rifles must be at least .40 caliber.
