Wyoming Hunt Area 23 covers 987,864 acres and lies 21 miles north-west of Wright and 30 miles south-west of Gillette. 14% of it is public land, mostly BLM (9%) and state land (5%). In 2025, 2,286 people hunted pronghorn here and took 1,992, a 87% success rate. Its most applied-for hunt, 23-2, put up 1,449 nonresident tags in the 2026 draw for 425 first-choice applicants.
