Idaho Elk — Unit 5-1X
Idaho Unit 5-1X covers 278,941 acres and lies 13 miles south-west of St. Maries and 33 miles south of Coeur d'Alene. 11% of it is public land, mostly state land (10%) and national forest (1%). A further 15% is tribal land rather than public land.
Your chance of drawing here
Idaho Department of Fish and Game has not offered an elk license in Unit 5-1X in any draw we hold. It has a page because the agency still publishes it by name — the Idaho elk hunts that are on offer are drawn elsewhere.
The country
Boundaries are drawn for orientation only — the written boundary description in the regulations governs.
