Fiocchi's 130gr FMJ is a range load built for volume shooting in .38 Special revolvers. At 950 fps, it runs hotter than the Federal American Eagle 130gr (890 fps) and well above the Remington UMC 130gr (800 fps). That extra velocity means a flatter trajectory and a sharper report, but recoil stays manageable in medium-frame revolvers. The round feeds and ejects cleanly, which matters for shooters running speed loaders during timed drills.
New shooters learning double-action trigger control will find this load forgiving enough for extended practice sessions. The 130gr bullet weight keeps recoil lighter than 158gr alternatives, and the brass case lets reloaders recover their investment.
