Black Hills loads the Lehigh Defense Xtreme Defense bullet in this HoneyBadger round, and it takes a completely different approach to terminal performance in .32 ACP. The 50gr solid copper projectile has deep flutes machined into its nose that redirect tissue radially on impact. It does not expand like a hollow point. Instead, the flutes create a wound channel wider than the bullet diameter through hydraulic displacement. This design eliminates the expansion reliability problem that haunts every .32 ACP JHP.
At 1,050 fps, this is the fastest factory .32 ACP load on the market. The lightweight 50gr bullet generates 122 ft-lbs of energy, comparable to heavier loads despite the weight difference. The solid copper construction means the bullet cannot fragment, clog with clothing, or fail to perform in any barrier condition.
