Product Overview
SinterFire's 125-grain Hollow Point is a specialty lead-free round built for shooters who face ammunition restrictions at their range or in the field. The lightweight bullet reaches 1350 fps and delivers 506 ft-lbs of energy. The copper-tin composite construction breaks apart on impact with hardened steel, which eliminates ricochet and splash-back hazards. Indoor ranges that ban lead ammunition will accept this round without issue.
The frangible design makes this load particularly useful for close-range steel target shooting. Where conventional FMJ requires a minimum safe distance of 10-15 yards from steel, frangible bullets disintegrate on contact and allow engagement at closer distances. Tactical training facilities and law enforcement ranges use frangible ammunition specifically for this reason. The 10mm Auto chambering gives you enough velocity to ensure complete bullet breakup on AR500 plates.
At 125 grains, this is the lightest 10mm Auto load in production. The reduced bullet weight means noticeably less muzzle flip and faster sight recovery between shots. Shooters who run compensated 10mm pistols will find the high velocity works well with their comp. The tradeoff is reduced penetration and limited terminal performance compared to heavier JHP loads. This is a training and specialty round, not a defensive choice for serious threats.
