Product Overview
Sinterfire 125-grain Lead Free Ball is a monolithic copper .40 S&W load made for high-volume training. SinterFire calls it a non-frangible product, where the rest of its lead-free line is frangible. It leaves the muzzle at 1,200 fps with 400 ft-lbs of energy.
A 25-yard zero puts it 1.3 inches low at 50 yards, where it is still moving 1,032 fps. Estimated recoil in a compact pistol is 5.1 ft-lbs.
If you're cross-shopping, Barnes VOR-TX 140-grain TAC-XP is the other lead-free .40 S&W load, a solid copper hollow point 80 fps slower with 6 ft-lbs less at the muzzle. At 125 grains this is the lightest bullet in the caliber.
